As a sponsor, you help an animal to lead a more dignified life. You can either sponsor a specific dog or step in flexibly as a back-up sponsor when additional help is needed.
Sponsorship models:
Despite numerous sponsorships, we continue to bear high costs. The monthly medical costs alone amount to over €5,000, as many puppies come to us sick and would not survive without urgent medical help.
Regular deworming for dogs and cats is necessary, especially for puppies, which are often heavily wormed and could die without treatment. Flea and tick medication costs an additional €8 per animal per month. All animals are also neutered, vaccinated, chipped and registered – this is required by law and essential for their health.
Our approximately 450-500 dogs in the shelter, 100 dogs in foster homes and 30 cats require food costs of €5,500 per month. We also feed street dogs and support 300 dogs at the Cornetu shelter. Food is also expensive in Romania: a 10 kg bag of dog food costs around €8, which is why we urgently need donations.
We rely on many helping hands for the care and cleanliness of the enclosures and the welfare of the animals. The wage costs for our permanent helpers amount to €2,600 per month, and the disposal of waste and manure costs our budget a further €1,300.
We need a total of €15,000 per month to provide the animals with appropriate care and are struggling to raise this amount every month to give the animals a better future.
If you would like to support us, you will find all the details under “Contact”. Whether through a donation, voluntary help or food donations via the Paws Hope webshop – every contribution counts!
