Our shelters - Hope for Catas Strays and Safe Haven

In spring 2020, after many years in animal welfare, Catalina took the opportunity to set up her own sanctuary in Tunari near Bucharest. With a team of four, which became known as Hope for Catas Strays, she was able to realize her dream of providing needy animals with a safe home, full bowls and medical help.

As the need was so great, a second station was soon built on an adjacent property: Safe Haven – a safe haven for animals.

The two shelters are now home to 450 to 500 dogs, around 30 cats, a horse and a pig. The Hope for Catas Strays team takes care of the animals, feeds strays in the area and organizes neutering programs.

Our clinic - Animal Aid International

Out of a deep love for animals and a desire to improve their lives, Catalina founded a rescue center more than ten years ago. With her experience in veterinary medicine and her compassion, she created a place where all animals receive the best possible care.

Today, Animal Aid International is the result of this vision. A dedicated team of veterinarians takes care of the health and welfare of the animals in our community.

Our mission
Our goal is to provide excellent veterinary care and to promote love and protection for all animals, whether pets or strays. Every animal that enters our practice receives the attention and treatment it needs, regardless of breed, age or history.

Our services
Animal Aid International offers a comprehensive range of veterinary services: Consultations, vaccinations, surgeries, laboratory testing, sterilizations and more. We are a reliable partner for pet owners and for stray animals in need.

Our commitment
We actively promote responsible adoption, neutering and vaccination and work with local organizations and volunteers to protect strays and find them loving homes.
