Some thoughts on the advance...
Many wonderful furry friends live in our rescue center in Romania. They have made it and got a second chance in life. They are dogs and cats from the street, animals given away by people in the village and abandoned animals. Many of the dogs were also rescued from the killing station and brought to us in safety.
They are all looking for their family, their home in happiness!
But before you decide on a dog or cat from us, please read through this information. This is important to us!
- none of the dogs is housebroken
- the dogs do not know how to walk on a leash and do not know what walking is
- we can not answer which dog has how much hunting instinct, because we do not test this here on site
- we can not say if the dog will bark a lot or a little in your home, because the life here is absolutely not comparable to the life waiting for them in the new family
- if not described otherwise, our dogs are all very social and get along well with their fellow dogs, because they live in a pack and not in solitary confinement; however, it can always happen that dogs meet who do not like each other or that one dog does not behave correctly, ignores or does not respect the body language of the other one
- being alone our dogs do not know; we can therefore make no statement about whether staying alone will work quickly or not quickly; but the be-all and end-all is a clean setup and can be trained

we can observe how the dog behaves towards our guests and children, whether he is insecure with us or rather dominant or whether one dog is more demanding and needs more work than another. In summary, we know the behavior of the dogs here in our sanctuary and can assess their character well. However, we do not know how the dogs will behave in an unfamiliar environment with many new impressions.
Important to say...
…that all of our dogs are diamonds in the rough and if you are willing to do a little bit with the dog, have time and patience to work with the dog, give him the necessary rest, trust and security, you can achieve a lot together. Mutual trust is the be-all and end-all of a good human-dog relationship, and the more sensitively and soundly the trust is built, the better and more intense the bond between human and dog will be.
How does an adoption work?
You fill out the questionnaire and send it. If we have any questions about your information, we will contact you.
Tip: first select the animal and then click Adopt. In that case the name and number of the animal is filled in automatically.
We reserve the dog for you and organize a preliminary inspection of your home. These are people from animal welfare groups in the region of your residence, which visit you at home and look at the future home of the dog. If the preliminary inspection is also positive (which we assume 😊), nothing stands in the way of adoption
We organize everything for the departure: Papers, Transport, tracing/tracking at the veterinary office .
We ask you now to transfer the protection fee.
This fee usually covers only the costs related to the departure and transport:
Chip-setting, EU passport, Tests (parvo, distemper), Ecto + endoparasite treatment (fleas, ticks, worms), Transport -Customs fee
Food costs and costs for medical care/neutering during the stay in the shelter, are NOT covered by the fee but usually by further donations by our supporters.
Transport: it is specialized animal transport. The animals are closely monitored and cared for throughout the journey. A meeting point will be chosen as close to home as possible, but the exact location will not be announced until shortly before arrival, as the route will be chosen based on destinations.
